Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez never seems to learn from past statements.
When she was attending a ‘Green’ conference last week, she once again, put her foot in her mouth with ridiculous comparisons. She spoke about how significant her Nov. 6 winning of her Congressional seat was and even equated it to a number of landmarks in U.S. history.
“We’ve done what we thought was impossible,” she told the crowd. “We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dig deep, and we did it. We did it when no one else thought that we could. That’s what we did when so many of us won an election this year.”
It’s interesting how in the district she won, the Eastern Bronx and North Central Queens, which is about 50 percent Latino, 40 percent Spanish-speaking, and about three-quarters people of color, she tried hard to dispel critics that she won because she better understands their struggles.
She lived in the Bronx until she was 5, then moved to Westchester County, a bigger contrast then her current district! Her childhood was completely different than those she currently represents and she can’t possibly understand all their struggles of unemployment, low wages as her father an architect, moved the family away.
Her FAR left socialist policies with her “Green New Deal”, would bankrupt America or any country for that matter. All one has to do, is look at countries that were socialist [Not Russia as she has stated on a number of occasions], they are failing or barely hanging on, with populations a whole hell of lot smaller than America.
Does she really think hard working Americans are going to allow her and her Party, to reach in our pockets and take what we earn and spread it around, even more than what we pay into now?
