WASHINGTON POST: The tariff-and-spending accord announced Sunday by the United States and the European Union stands to avert a damaging trade war between two of the world’s largest economies, but it is lopsided in favor of President Donald Trump’s protectionist policies with Brussels swallowing bitter concessions in hopes of stabilizing a relationship that is vital not just economically but also for security interests.
So for decades the EU has gotten away with lopsided tariffs against the US while being greeted by Democrat tolerance, but when Trump turns the tables to our favor with some more even-handed terms, he’s still the villain versus the winner on our behalf.
And Democrats wonder why their approval numbers are located at a 19% sewer-dwelling residence.
They just cannot help themselves.
