FOX NEWS: Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., disputed the effectiveness of prayers after the Minnesota Catholic school shooting on Thursday, saying students were “literally praying” when they came under attack.
This schmuck is opposing an argument never asserted.
Nobody is saying that prayer has any “effectiveness” in stopping violence.
For many, however, it has an “effectiveness” as a coping mechanism for the unconsolable trying to process the unfathomable and unthinkable.
I’m not religious and haven’t prayed for years, but even I can see that prayer never has to defend itself for not meeting a standard for which it was never intended to satisfy.
Newsom supporters, please grow up sooner than later.
