A big shout out to our neighbors, police, EMT, fire crews who responded to the freak tornado, or atmospheric river storm that is lurking in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, that passed through the metro DC area on Friday, July 14th. It will be around until next week!
The tree pictured here, is a block and a half from our historic home, in a historic neighborhood. That tree by the way, is over 150 years old.

We had some flooding in 2 rooms of our basement, because there was this tidal like wave of water that hit and pounded one of the windows and water somehow got through. Anyone think Mother Nature isn’t a force to be reckon with, think again. You could hear loud bangs, snapping!

The storm hit an electric pole, ignited a fire across the street, but for the rain continuing, during the fire [ 5 broke out at the same time around town] we shudder to think!

Trees down on houses, cars, yards. So far NO ONE HURT! That is the MAIN, uplifting part of all of this!
Clean up continuing…

WE NEED OUR EMERGENCY SERVICES! DON’T PRETEND OTHERWISE AND DON’T JOIN GROUPS BECAUSE THERE ARE A FEW BAD APPLES IN AREAS. THEY DON’T POISON THE WHOLE WELL!!!
