From the standpoint of an observer, it looks so easy for our money to be spent and wasted yet more difficult to put back when discovered and it says a lot about the checks and balances of Congress and its powers. Maybe it’s time to rescind the pen of Congress that has been sending this money all over to the agencies, states, other places, only to find so much of it in the wrong places!
People don’t realize that without us looking over the shoulders of those on Capitol Hill, we give over control of the purse to 535 people and having seen just what DOGE has uncovered in the first 100 days of Trumps second term, there needs to be some rule changes and also the powers that be need to look into how lawmakers come into government with one kind of bank account and leave with another, more filled than before.
