“Possible independent presidential candidate and Democratic spoiler Howard Schultz on Tuesday dumped on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ “Green New Deal,” warning it would be “immoral” to spend trillions of dollars on an “unrealistic” solution.
The billionaire former Starbucks CEO and executive chairman urged Democrats to be “truthful” about their environmental initiatives rather than just throwing policies “against the wall because it’s a good slogan.”
“I read that by 2030 they’re suggesting that every building in America becomes clean energy, conforms to clean energy, just to put that in perspective, because it’s not realistic, that would mean that between 2,000 and 3,000 buildings a day would have to be reconstructed to conform to what they’re saying,” Schultz said. “So let’s be sensible about what we’re suggesting,”
Finally, a Democrat who isn’t afraid of dissing a suggested platform, because of backlash!
No one has come up with any plan, to pay for this absurdity, except to pass it and then limp along and see how we do and where we can steal the money!
They want to tax the wealthy by 90%. That will really win elections. All those people would leave this country. Why would anyone stay and work their asses off, so the government can take what they earn and give it to those who don’t?
This is what’s passing for work in our chambers? A Bill, which is so outlandish, unrealistic, they are wasting taxpayer money just talking about it! Why, because they don’t have anything else to put forth!
This new breed of Socialist, Fascist, Democrats, want us to hate capitalism, even though it has helped people to be lifted up into better financial circumstances!
Not everyone is smart enough, goal oriented enough, to go out each day and make copious amounts of money. There are those, sadly, with no ambitions and dreams and are content in being taken care of, without any qualms! That’s fine, but don’t expect those of us who have a burning passion to see their ideas succeed, take care of those who would rather stay home and not work!
To embrace what Capitalism means, it needs to be understood! It affords economic freedom, consumer choice, and economic growth. Socialism, which is an economy controlled by the state and planned by a central planning authority, provides for a greater social welfare system and decreases business fluctuations and growth!
Truly, there is no choice, except the one to allow each individual to live their lives on their terms, without the government controlling your every move! This new, young breed of lawmakers, want nothing more, but to raise a coddled society, whereby working for what you want, has nothing to do with adding to one’s security, but everything to do with taking care of those who don’t!
