Senate Republicans are privately rooting against President Trump in his court battle to strike down the Affordable Care Act. GOP lawmakers worry that if Trump wins, Congress won’t be able to pass anything to replace ObamaCare — and they’ll pay for it at the ballot box.
So the same Republicans who have been getting elected by running against Obamacare now say they can’t fight it because doing so would endanger getting elected?? Huh??
What’s the use of acquiring power to work for particular changes if you don’t pursue those changes because it would allegedly lead to you losing said power?
That’s a bit like working hard to win someone’s hand in marriage and then skipping the wedding because you want to avoid a potentially messy divorce.
Why the hell bother proposing that which you have no intention delivering?
