Is newly minted Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, going to feign ignorance, regarding the operation of a “subsidy scheme”, that ran afoul of campaign finance laws, in another complaint filed against her yesterday, with the FEC?
Apparently, according to the filing late Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez and her campaign manager, Saikat Chakrabarti, are accused of overseeing a “shadowy web” of political action committees (PACs) that allowed them to raise more cash than they could have done so legally. It also states, allegedly, that a limited liability company (LLC) was created to avoid federal expenditure requirements by offering Ocasio-Cortez and other Democratic candidates, political consulting services at a price so low, the company apparently shut down before the election was even over.
Can’t wait to see how Ocasio-Cortez explains this away! Seems it didn’t take her very long to learn to ‘game’ the system and join the other swamp rats.
To bad, she didn’t study along the way, civics, about the operation of government and election laws. Seems she learned the “do as I say, not as I do” mantra of politicians quite well, for someone who hasn’t been on Capitol Hill very long!
It will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether her fellow Democrats in Congress will stand up and rally for Ocasio-Cortez. I’m sure they really don’t want any other incident, to be able to suck the oxygen out of their grandstanding with the Mueller Report, along with investigations that are wasting more of taxpayer money, for something, the American people know, the Democrats started and hoped would never come back to haunt them! To bad, too late!!!
